Congratulations to our Business Education Depatment teachers and students, their pass rate for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications puts Gadsden City in the top 12 percent of all schools in Alabama!

Several students from Gadsden City High School participated in the Gadsden City Schools Tech Blitz in April. These students competed in areas including Web Design, Video Production, and more.

Students in GCHS's cosmetology program hosted a hair and fashion show on Saturday, May 18th. The show was similar to Bronner Brothers shows in Atlanta and throughout the United States. Students modeled clothes from Pretty Plus Clothing and JCPenney.

The cosmetology instructor, Tracey Billingsley, strives to instill in her students skills that can be taken with them wherever they go. Mrs. Billingsley plans to hold more hair and fashion shows in the future, and also plans to hold competitions both among her students and with schools in the surrounding area.

Addison Rains placed third in Prepared Public Speaking at the State HOSA Leadership Conference. Addison will attend the National HOSA Leadership Conference in June. Congratulations Addison!

Congratulations to Tyler Brown! Tyler won a silver medal in the SkillsUSA automotive contest at the BJCC. Tyler competed at the state SkillsUSA competition against the state's top 15 automotive students in a two day competition, finishing in second place!
